John Leguizamo has joined the head-spinning cast of Mike Flanagan’s new untitled “Exorcist” film. Mike wrote the script and is directing and producing the new feature, promising a “fresh and bold” take on the demonic possession story. The movie, which begins production next week, is easily the most brightly starred “Exorcist project” in years.
Mike Myers will receive a special honor at this year’s Canadian Screen Awards, to recognize his contributions to the media landscape. The Toronto-born “Austin Powers” star is expected to attend the ceremony on May 31 to accept the Academy Icon Award. Nominees for this year’s Screen Awards will be announced March 25.
Billboard co-chief content officer Jason Lipshutz is turning his longtime coverage of One Direction into a book. “A Whole Lotta History: One Direction and the Sound That Shaped a Generation” will drop November 3. It will examine the group’s formation on “The X Factor” in 2010, its rapid ascent in the global pop marketplace, and the musical evolution across its 5 studio albums.
BTS has shared the track list for its new album, out March 20. The boy band revealed that the “ARIRANG” will begin with ‘Body to Body’, followed by ‘Hooligan’, ‘Aliens’, ‘FYA’, ‘2.0’, ‘No. 29’, and ‘SWIM’, plus 7 others. Producers on different songs include Diplo, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, and Ryan Tedder. It’ll be the group’s first album in 6 years.
The “Prince Celebration” will be back for a 10th year June 3-7. It’s an annual event in several Minnesota locations, where fans and artists pay homage to the late star. The 2026 program will feature concerts, screenings, panel discussions, and immersive fan experiences. It will also celebrate the anniversaries of Prince albums, including “Parade” and “Emancipation”.

Jessica Simpson has chosen to keep her $17 million mansion following her separation from Eric Johnson. The mansion, located in L.A., features six bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and spans 10,000 square feet. She initially listed the home for sale in 2023 at $22 million, later reducing the price to $17.9 million in January 2024, before ultimately taking it off the market. Jessica purchased the property from Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne in 2013 for $11.5 million.
Netflix has ordered “Alexander”, a drama series about Alexander The Great and Aristotle, from “Heated Rivalry” creator Jacob Tierney. The series adapts Annabel Lyon’s novel “The Golden Mean” and follows Aristotle tutoring young prince Alexander as the Athenian empire crumbles.
The Academy announced Thursday that Gwyneth Paltrow, Robert Downey Jr., Anne Hathaway, Will Arnett, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Paul Mescal will present at the 98th Oscars. They join previously announced presenters including Adrien Brody, Javier Bardem, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Chase Infiniti, Mikey Madison, Demi Moore, Kumail Nanjiani, Maya Rudolph and Zoe Salda?a.
FX’s acclaimed restaurant dramedy “The Bear” will wrap up with its upcoming fifth season. Production is already underway in and around Chicago, with the new episodes expected to premiere later this year. The show’s fourth season ended last June. The series has earned widespread praise for its portrayal of the pressures inside a Chicago restaurant kitchen.
The upcoming “Ocean’s Eleven” prequel has lost its director, Lee Isaac Chung, who left the project citing “creative differences.” The film, set before the 2001 remake starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt, will feature Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper in leading roles.
ABC’s “Scrubs” reboot attracted 11.4 million viewers within five days of its premiere, according to data from Disney. The total combines Nielsen’s broadcast and encore data with streaming figures from Hulu and other digital platforms. Disney reports the episode became ABC’s most-streamed comedy and highest-rated series premiere in more than a year.
ABC announced Thursday that both “9-1-1” and its spinoff “9-1-1: Nashville” will return for another year. The flagship series will enter its 10th season, while Nashville moves into its second. Both rank among the top 10 dramas among adults 18-49 in seven-day multiplatform viewing, with Nashville holding the top spot as TV’s No. 1 new drama in that group.
