The May 19 nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be a lower key affair than those of Will and Kate, but guests at St. George’s Chapel will still be expected to follow church and royal protocol. Here are some guidelines, according to some British etiquette pros:
➠ HEMS AND SHOULDERS: Dresses that are mostly black or mostly white are no-nos. And women’s shoulders should be covered. Hemlines shouldn’t be shorter than the longest finger when arms are held at the side, and no longer than mid-calf. No cleavage. (And this is why they couldn’t invite Fergie!)
➠ HATS: Although royal weddings can seem like a hat free-for-all, bigger isn’t always better. No huge brims. Nothing too high. (It’s not the Kentucky Derby!)
➠ SHOES: Forget open toes and wedges. Slingbacks are also considered too informal. Four-inch heels would be the maximum, and consider that the walk into the church is over cobblestones. Stilettos? Forget about it. (And Crocs without Jibbitz? Just go home.)
➠ HANDBAGS: They should be small. It’s tight seating in St. George’s Chapel, and there is no place to put large bags. Clutches or other handbags that fit easily on laps are good. (There goes your chance to sneak a bottle in!)
➠ OH YEAH…THE MEN: Most will be in morning suits. They have coattails and they often come in grey, navy and black. There’s also a waistcoat, like a vest, and a regular tie.

Arie says, “Buying a house is obviously another huge step in our relationship, and we are excited to really make this our home. It was built this year and we can’t wait to move in!” Lauren adds; “Arizona has been a really easy adjustment for me as I’ve moved around my whole life,” the 25-year-old explained. “I’ve been making friends and trying to get settled in but we really haven’t been here all that long yet. Lance Bass claims he “talks everyday” to his former ‘N Sync bandmates–and it’s not because they’re planning a reunion. “We’re releasing a clothing line together so we talk daily, approving pictures, ‘Oh, I like this,’” Lance says. “We all think we’re Marc Jacobs but we’re not, so it’s taken us a year to come up with this capsule collection and we’re going to release it at the [20th 0=”anniversary” 1=”pop-up”] on Monday.” The clothing line will be unveiled at the band’s “Dirty Pop-Up” exhibition, which opens in Los Angeles on Monday, April 30–the same day ‘N Sync gets a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Kanye West has continued his Twitter tirade, defending the comments he made about his love for President Donald Trump. ‘Ye took to social media on yesterday afternoon (April 25th) and wrote, “You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought. If your friend jumps off the bridge you don’t have to do the same. Ye being Ye is a fight for you to be you. For people In my life the idea of Trump is pretty much a 50 50 split but I don’t tell a Hillary supporter not to support Hillary. I love Hillary too.”
He added, “My wife just called me and she wanted me to make this clear to everyone. I don’t agree with everything Trump does. I don’t agree 100% with anyone but myself.” ‘Ye also wrote, “Obama was in office for eight years and nothing in Chicago changed.”
Trump later responded to Kanye’s tweet and said, “Thank you Kanye, very cool!”
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian West, also spoke about the rapper’s recent tweets. She said, “To the media trying to demonize my husband let me just say this… your commentary on Kanye being erratic & his tweets being disturbing is actually scary. So quick to label him as having mental health issues for just being himself when he has always been expressive is not fair.
Yesterday it was announced that Kanye had parted ways with some business people and media outlets made this about Kanye’s mental health. Rather than just a simple business decision. So I’m glad he tweeted about the state of his company and all of the exciting things happening. He’s a free thinker, is that not allowed in America? Because some of his ideas differ from yours you have to throw in the mental health card? That’s just not fair. He’s actually out of the sunken place when he’s being himself which is very expressive.”
She continued, “Now when he spoke out about Trump… Most people (including myself) have very different feelings & opinions about this. But this is HIS opinion. I believe in people being able to have their own opinions, even if really different from mine. He never said he agrees with his politics. Kanye will never run in the race of popular opinion and we know that and that’s why I love him and respect him and in a few years when someone else says the same exact thing but they aren’t labeled the way he is and you will all praise them! Kanye is years ahead of his time. Mental Health is no joke and the media needs to stop spitting that out so casually. Bottom line.”
When it’s your birthday, you’re almost required to wear something special. At least that’s what Gigi Hadid did on Monday. She celebrated turning 23 at Brooklyn Heights Social Club in NYC. Her outfit for the party allegedly cost more than $25,000. Gigi kicked off the night in a jaw-dropping custom gold minidress by Atelier Versace, laden with gold thread and discs, that is said to cost in the five-figures. She paired the dress with Christian Louboutin’s clear studded “Spikoo” pumps, which sell for $995, and topped off her look with a custom bedazzled manicure by Mei Kawajiri–whose work reportedly costs upwards of $150. After the party, the supermodel was spotted in a custom Juicy Couture tracksuit emblazoned with a “23” made of Swarvoski crystals on the back. She is said to have spent more than $1,195 for the hoodie and $1,075 for the pants. Surprisingly, there was one budget item included in her look: a $3.99 Maybelline gold eyeshadow.

On Tuesday, word broke that Miranda Lambert has become romantically involved with Evan Felker, the married lead singer of the Turnpike Troubadours. (He and his wife are separated.) Yesterday Miranda’s ex-husband, Blake Shelton, seemed to allude to his old flame by cryptically tweeting, “Been taking the high road for a long time. I almost gave up. But I can finally see something on the horizon up there!! Wait!! Could it be?! Yep!! It’s karma!!” Blake then retweeted a fan’s reply that shows a woman throwing a large exercise ball at a man, only to have it bounce off his back and hit her in the face. Miranda and Evan met while touring together, which likely explains why she recently broke off her long-term relationship with another roots musician, Anderson East.
