One year and a little bit ago, Kendrick Lamar dropped ‘Damn‘. Since then it’s done 1.1 million copies.
This week it was announced that the album won a Pulitzer Prize, an award usually given to classical or a jazz record. They described it as: a virtuosic song collection unified by its vernacular authenticity and rhythmic dynamism that offers affecting vignettes capturing the complexity of modern African-American life.
With this, it’s been reported that the sales have bumped up 236%. There was also a 29% increase in digital sales as well.
OK Kendrick, DAMN! Literally!
