Selena Gomez announced on yesterday that she’s taking a hiatus from social media. “As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given,” she captioned a selfie. “Kindness and encouragement only for a bit!” She added, “Just remember–negative comments can hurt anybody’s feelings. Obvi.” The 26-year-old singer, who is the most-followed person on Instagram, announced the break after she spent much of her weekend on the platform. She shared several stories, hosted a giveaway, published two new post, commented on her friends’ posts, and followed several new accounts.
Bradley Cooper has opened up about the strong connection he developed with Lady Gaga on the set of A Star Is Born. He says, “I made a friend for life. As great as this movie was, the thing that I think I’ll take away forever is the relationship I have with her because she is an incredible person. I’m very lucky to have worked with her.” Bradley also shares that he was nervous when he sang for Gaga when they first met at her home. “That was absolutely insane. When you’re telling it, I can’t believe that happened,” he admits. “The only reason I had the courage is because she made me feel so comfortable.”
Kelly Ripa has clapped back at a troll who wrote on Instagram that she looks too old for her husband Mark Consuelos. The exchange when Mark posted a photo supporting the #HeForShe campaign. “You make me so proud,” Kelly commented. A troll chimed in, “Yes, he is so handsome. But you need to go, Kelly. You look to [sic] old for him. Sorry but you do.” Kelly quickly lashed back. “You need to learn how to spell the word ‘too’ sweetie,” she wrote. “As in you’re too stupid to be with my young, handsome husband. P.S. He likes proper grammar too, you dope.”
Pete Davidson is letting everybody know (again) that he feels so lucky to be engaged to Ariana Grande. “I’m a very, very lucky guy…I get it,” he tells Howard Stern in a new interview. “Some people are meant to be together and some people aren’t, even if they’re good people, some people are not good in relationships together. And I just think we’re supposed to be together.” He adds that he understands how shocked others are that he landed such a huge star. “I get it. I was jerking off to her before I met her!” he declares. “I’ve been there. I’ve been in the other shoes. Who knew I was practicing this whole time [for 0=”our” 1=”relationship”]?” Pete also shares, “Any time we’re intimate I’m always apologizing and saying thank you. ‘You’re awesome for doing this, thank you so much.'”
Ireland Baldwin has opened up about her cousin Hailey Baldwin’s engagement to Justin Bieber. She says, “It was meant to be a long time ago,” she continues, “It was just a long time coming, and we’re all like, ‘Alright, thank god, let’s move forward.’ They’re so in love and they really do a lot of good for each other, and that’s the most important thing for me, that he makes her so happy.” Ireland continues, “They just bring out the good in each other, they really do. I think they do a really good job of checking each other when one desperately needs to be checked and told, ‘You’re out of line.’ I think they really, really do care about each other so much and care about what others and what their families think of them.”
Kanye West and Nick Cannon have ended their feud over Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian West. The pair squashed their beef after swapping numbers in their Instagram DMs. Specifically, Kanye and Nick have allegedly agreed to be more mindful of one another going forward, and to continue their friendship. The feud started when Kanye threatened Nick, who previously dated Kim, for commenting on her changing body in an interview with VladTV. Nick responded by telling Kanye to not try and censor him.

Actress Rosario Dawson has revealed that she won’t let her 15-year-old daughter Lola have a cell phone because she thinks it’s bad for her mental health. “I think it’s really critically important as the adult in these kids’ lives to make sure they’re not going down dark alleys without some kind of information and help … and to get likes according to little posts you’ve made and then thinking that that’s what your value is can be quite dangerous,” she explained at the Tribeca TV Festival. The 39-year-old actress, who adopted Lola three years ago, continues, “We are humans. We are not robots. We learn three-dimensionally and it’s important for us to develop in a certain kind of way and not constantly be looking at a screen.”
Celine Dion announced yesterday that she’s ending her Las Vegas residency at Ceasars Palace after eight years. “I definitely have mixed emotions about this final run,” Celine said in a statement. “Las Vegas has become my home and performing at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace has been a big part of my life for the past two decades. It’s been an amazing experience and I’m so grateful to all the fans who have come to see us throughout the years. Every show we do at the Colosseum throughout this fall, and right up until the final one, will feel very special.” Celine’s last show will be on June 8, 2019. Tickets for her final shows (February 26 to June 8) will go on pre-sale Tuesday and on sale to the public on Friday.
