A Taylor Swift fan was proposed to by her boyfriend of five years at Taylor’s Reputation Stadium Tour stop in Houston, Texas, on Saturday – and received another surprise later: a congratulations from Swift.
The video, which has over four million views on social media, shows Alyssa Read’s boyfriend, Channing, dropping to a knee when Taylor sings, “He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring” during her performance of “Love Story.” Read put her hands to her face in shock as concertgoers around her scream and celebrated the engagement. The two locked lips, and Read’s fiancé slid a diamond ring on her finger. “CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Swift wrote under the couple’s video on Instagram, following her words with a collection of heart, ring and lip emojis. The 28-year-old also “liked” Read’s post, which has since gone viral.
Sarah Jessica Parker appears to have extended an olive branch to Kim Cattrall. A fan commented on one of her Instagram posts, “You are still my hero. Please replace or write her out Kim/ Samantha if she is not interested and bring back Sex and the Citymovie #3. The fans need this.” Parker replied, “Not sure if I can imagine doing another movie without her.” The former co-stars have been feuding since Parker insinuated that Cattrall’s disinterest was the reason a third film wasn’t being made. Meanwhile, Cattrall said the two were “never friends” and merely co-workers.
Nick Cannon claims that he won Mariah Carey’s heart by turning down her offer for him to star in her music video. “I told Mariah no, and people don’t tell Mariah no,” he recalls in a preview for TV One’s autobiographical series Uncensored. Cannon also shares that he made sure to tell everybody how much he wanted to woo Mariah. “People were bugging, like, ‘There’s no way you can get Mariah Carey.’ I was like, ‘Watch, I’m telling you,'” Cannon says. Word got back to Mariah and once Cannon knew that she knew, he “doubled down” on his efforts.
Lady Gaga now has a daily reminder of what it was like working alongside Bradley Cooper in A Star Is Born. Her co-star Bradley Cooper gave her a sentimental gift – a 15-foot photo of her in a still shot from the film, which hits theaters Friday. “It was a gift from Bradley,” Gaga explains. “It’s the last frame of the movie. Do you know the scene?” The scene Gaga is referring to is the big final performance number, in which her character, Ally, is all dolled up and singing, “I’ll Never Love Again” on the stage of the Shrine Auditorium.
Now that Gaga’s finished A Star Is Born, she’s looking ahead to her Las Vegas show and her next album, and she’s also “reading piles of scripts.” But asked what fans can expect from her next phase, she smiled and said, “Oh…I’m just shape-shifting again.”
Until Gwyneth Paltrow fell for Brad Falchuk, she didn’t think she’d marry again. She and first husband Chris Martin share two children and famously “consciously uncoupled” in 2014 after 10 years of marriage.
This past weekend, the 46-year-old Oscar-winner married American Horror Story co-creator Falchuk in an intimate wedding at her home in the Hamptons.
“I think that marriage is a really beautiful, noble and worthwhile institution, pursuit and endeavor,” Paltrow told Marie Claire UK. “Because I don’t think you get married and that’s it—I think it’s the beginning. You create this third entity, this third being that you have to nourish and look after.” She continued: “For a while, I thought, I don’t know if I’d ever do it again. I have my kids—what’s the point?” But then. “And then I met this incredible man, who made me think, no, this person is worth making this commitment to,” Paltrow said. And as it turns out, she says “I’m very much the marrying kind. I love making a home.”
Blake Shelton celebrated girlfriend Gwen Stefani’s 49th birthday on Wednesday by sharing a sweet tribute on Instagram. “Somehow it feels more like MY birthday everyday,” the 42-year-old country singer captioned a sexy photo of Stefani wearing a cropped jacket and yellow shorts. “Happy Birthday @gwenstefani!!! I love you!!!” UPI points out that one week ago, Stefani shared a video of Shelton serenading her with his song “Turnin’ Me On”–which was inspired by their relationship. “I’m so grateful,” she wrote at the time. Shelton and Stefani have been an item since 2015.
Kate Hudson has entered Owen Wilson territory . . . by having three kids with three different partners.
Kate and her boyfriend Danny Fujikawa welcomed a baby girl on Tuesday. They named her Rani . . . pronounced “Ronnie”, after Danny’s late father Ron Fujikawa.
In an Instagram post, Kate said, “Everyone is doing well and happy as can be.”
Danny’s not famous or anything, but he IS a musician, which is obviously Kate’s thing.
She has a 14-year-old son named Ryder with Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson, and a 6-year-old son named Bingham with Matt Bellamy from Muse.
