The 2020 Peabody Awards has named “Watchmen”, “Succession”, “Ramy”, “Stranger Things” and “Fleabag” among the 30 most compelling programs of the year. The awards also recognized the PBS series “Frontline” and “The Simpsons” as Institutional Award winners that have made a significant impact on media and culture.
“United We Sing: A Grammy Salute to the Unsung Heroes” is happening June 21 and will be hosted by Harry Connick Jr. and his daughter Georgia as they road trip across the US to “thank and celebrate” essential workers. Artists performing include Cyndi Lauper, Little Big Town, Dave Matthews, Tim McGraw and Jamie Foxx, with appearances by Sandra Bullock, Drew Brees, Queen Latifah, Brad Pitt, Oprah Winfrey, Renée Zellweger and more.

Harry Styles has announced new dates for his 2020 tour. The North American trek is now scheduled to begin on August 14, 2021, in Tacoma, Washington. He’ll then play L.A., Vegas, Chicago, Nashville, New York, Toronto, and Montreal before wrapping up in Atlanta on October 27-28. On October 30-31, he’ll return to New York’s Madison Square Garden for his “Harryween” shows.

The Independent claims “The Sopranos” creator David Chase may have accidentally revealed Tony Soprano’s fate while discussing the 2007 series finale in a Q&A. The final scene famously cut to black without revealing what happened to Tony. Chase was discussing the scene when he said, “I think I had that death scene around two years before the end.” The interviewer responded, “You realize, of course, that you just referred to that as a death scene.”

New Wave legends New Order and Pet Shop Boys have re-scheduled their upcoming co-headlining tour until 2021. The bands had already postponed their fall tour because of the coronavirus. The 12-date tour will now kick off on September 18, 2021 in Toronto, and will wrap in mid-October with two day in Los Angeles.
Tom Hanks World War II action movie Greyhound has found a new home. The film was supposed to debut in theaters on June 12, but was pulled because of he coronavirus. Sony eventually pulled the film from its slate. It will now debut on Apple TV+ July 10.
Kelly Clarkson has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband of nearly seven years, Brandon Blackstock. They recently put their San Fernando Valley home on the market and had been quarantining with their kids on Clarkson’s Montana ranch.
The DIXIE CHICKS announced on Twitter that they’re releasing their new album “Gaslighter” on July 17th. It was originally going to come out May 1st, but it got pushed back because of the coronavirus.
