Netflix has announced that Ryan Murphy’s highly anticipated origin story of the Nurse Ratched character from “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” will debut Sept. 18th. The new drama finds Mildred Ratched in 1947, arriving in California to seek employment at a psychiatric hospital where new and unsettling experiments have begun on the human mind.
Netflix has acquired the rights to seven popular Black sitcoms, which will begin rolling out this weekend. The streaming service has grabbed the rights to “Moesha,” “Sister, Sister,” “The Game,” “Girlfriends,” “The Parkers,” “Half & Half” and “One on One.”
