Elon Musk is changing the name of Twitter to X, and getting rid of, quote, “all the birds.”  A Tweet will now be called an X, and followers will be called viewers.

The NFL’s Washington Commanders have been sold. NFL owners approved the sale of the team for $6.05 billion. The price is a record for a sports franchise in North America.  Ownership transfers from the Snyder family to a group led by Josh Harris. The group contains 20 limited partners, including basketball legend Magic Johnson.

Season 24 of “The Voice” officially has an air date! The singing competition will return on Sept. 25, 2023, on NBC. When it returns, the coach lineup will feature some big changes. Blake Shelton of course retired and Reba McEntire will take his place for contestants who lean more country. Mrs. Shelton, Gwen Stefani is back in the red chair, along with veteran John Legend and returning coach Niall Horan.

It has come out that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were reportedly denied a seat on Air Force One after Queen Elizabeth’s death. According to a report, the couple attempted to hitch a ride back to the US after the Queen’s funeral. The request was reportedly a non-starter and The White House denied the request almost immediately.

One of the big reveals at San Diego Comic-Con was the title and trailer of the ‘Rick and ‘Michonne’ “Walking Dead” spinoff. Travis Scott made news at Rolling Loud Miami. During his Saturday set, he confirmed his “Utopia” album would arrive this Friday, July 28th. At the end of his show, he showed the crowd a trailer for his “Circus Maximus” film, which will be released the same day as “Utopia”.

Over the weekend, moviegoers showed up for “Barbie,” which smashed expectations with $155 million to land the year’s biggest debut. Luke Combs brought a young cancer survivor named Cooper up to the stage at his show in Foxborough, Massachusetts on Saturday.  He told the crowd Cooper came all the way to sing his favorite song. And then Luke got down on one knee and helped him sing the chorus of “Fast Car”.  The crowd even started chanting Cooper’s name.

The Hollywood Vampires canceled a show in Budapest last week, supposedly because the venue was unsafe.  But there are tabloid reports that the real reason was because Johnny Depp was found passed out in his hotel room.
