The 96th Academy Awards, which will air on March 10, will start earlier than any prior edition. Rather than starting at 5pm Pacific/8pm Eastern, as has been the case in recent years, the Oscars will begin at 4pm/7pm. The decision was apparently driven by a desire to have the show wrap within primetime hours on the East Coast, after a historical drop off in viewership as the evening progressed.
Taylor Swift’s “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” returns to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, rising 2-1. The album debuted at No. 1 on the November 11 dated chart and spent its second week in the lead before dipping to No. 2 for the next two weeks. Now Taylor bounces back to the top spot.
Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” will likely become the highest-grossing global tour of all time, according to Billboard. While official numbers have not yet been reported, it is expected to pass Elton John’s farewell tour, which grossed more than $900 million in ticket sales. Taylor’s tour is likely headed toward a total of $1.7 billion by the end of 2024.

Former April Wine frontman and leader Myles Goodwyn has died at 75. No cause of death has been announced. He achieved many feats with April Wine, including selling more than 10 million albums and receiving 11 Juno nominations. April Wine was inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame earlier this year.

Kelsea Ballerini lives in her dream home, but she took an odd route to get there. She bought her home in Nashville from Kacey Musgraves. She originally wanted to buy it during in 2020 when “I saw this house on Zillow, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is my house.’” But it didn’t work out then.
