There’s no stopping Disney/Pixar’s “Inside Out 2,” which is now well on its way to becoming 2024’s first $1 billion box office hit, after earning a projected $96 million in its second weekend, the best ever for an animated film. That tops the previous record of $92 million set last year by “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” and gives the sequel a 2-weekend domestic total of $351 million.
Hours after Paramount revealed the return date for the final episodes of “Yellowstone”, Kevin Costner ended speculation about his possible return by announcing that he is not coming back. In his video post in Instagram, he said: “After this long year and a half of working on Horizon and thinking about Yellowstone, I just realized that I’m not going to be able to continue Season 5B or into the future…I loved it. And I know you loved it…I’ll see you at the movies.”
Elon Musk and Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis welcomed their third baby together, making it his 12th child overall. They previously welcomed twins Strider and Azure in November 2021. Details on the new baby are not available.
Suri Cruise, daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, removed “Cruise” from her name during her high school graduation, going by the name “Suri Noelle” instead. She also used that name during a recent theater performance.
According to Ice Cube, there’s a 4th “Friday” movie on its way. Ice Cube says, “We’re working on it, we’re working on it”. The rapper/actor added that Warner Bros. studio kept delaying things, and “not doing the movie the way it needs to be done”, but, as he put it, now, “We finally got some traction”. The most recent film in the series, “Friday After Next” was released in 2002.
Justin Timberlake hit the stage at Chicago’s United Center for his first performance since being charged with DWI. He addressed the elephant in the room, saying: “We’ve been together through ups and downs and lefts and rights, and it’s been a tough week…I know sometimes I’m hard to love, but you keep on loving me and I love you right back, thank you so much.””
September 6, Alanis Morrissette will drop “Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie (Thank U Edition)” to celebrate the album’s 25th anniversary. It will be released as a 2-LP set with reimagined artwork. A digital deluxe edition of the album is out now, with 4 bonus tracks — 2 B-sides, an outtake, and a demo, along with an “Uninvited” remix by electronic duo, Freemasons.
Post Malone has scored his first #1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart. ‘I Had Some Help’, his collab with Morgan Wallen, reached the top in just its 7th week on the list. That’s the fastest trip to #1 on Country Airplay since Garth Brooks’ ‘More Than a Memory’ in 2007.
Usually, it’s Morgan Wallen throwing stuff around. But during a show in Minneapolis the other day, he was on the receiving end, when he TOOK A THONG DIRECTLY TO THE FACE. Without skipping a beat, he caught it, spun around, and tossed it back into the audience. The obvious question is, were the panties clean, or did the tosser take them off right there in the audience? The uncertainty probably had a lot to do with the fact that Morgan wanted nothing to do with them.

Billy Idol was originally supposed to play the evil T-1000 in “Terminator 2: Judgment Day”, but he couldn’t do it after being in a serious motorcycle accident in February of 1990, which almost cost him a leg. He was also supposed to have a larger role in the Oliver Stone move, “The Doors”, but it was cut back due to the accident.
Jennifer Lawrence is set to produce and star in “The Wives”, a murder mystery film from Apple Films that were inspired by “The Real Housewives” franchise. The movie is currently in development, and no details have been released concerning the plot or production schedule.
50 Cent disclosed that a hacker used his Twitter and Thisis50.com accounts to promote a cryptocurrency, resulting in a $300 million gain in 30 minutes. He emphasized having no ties to the scheme, and Twitter secured his account.
