The 31st edition of the “Critics Choice Awards” is scheduled for January 4th and will be broadcast on both E! and USA Network. The awards ceremony recognizes excellence in both film and television, with TV nominations revealed on December 4 and film categories on the following day.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2025 was announced last night on “American Idol”. There are 13 inductees. In the Performers category we have: Bad Company . . . Chubby Checker . . . Joe Cocker . . . Cyndi Lauper . . . Outkast . . . Soundgarden . . . and The White Stripes. Salt-N-Pepa and Warren Zevon will be inducted in the “Musical Influence” category.
The Tennessee Titans selected quarterback Cam Ward as the #1 pick in the NFL draft this weekend. And fans were even more excited when he said he was a big Morgan Wallen fan.
SZA’s “SOS” notches a 13th non-consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The record rises two places to claim the top spot once again, aided by the release of an expansive deluxe edition, “SOS Deluxe: LANA”, on December 20, 2024, along with a February 9 reissue with four additional bonus tracks.
“Sinners” continued its dominance at the box office, raking in an impressive $45 million in its second weekend. The movie has amassed $122.5 million in North America and $161.6 million globally. Meanwhile, “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith” made a strong comeback, generating $25.2 million as Disney re-released it to celebrate the prequel’s 20th anniversary.
One of Pee-wee Herman’s bikes from the 1985 film, “Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure”, is going up for auction. This particular bike is one of the 14 red bikes used in the movie and will be sold during a two-day auction hosted by Van Eaton Galleries on May 3 and 4. The bike was used in memorable scenes, including Pee-Wee’s crash into a curb (featuring the iconic line “I meant to do that”) and his vine-swinging escape on the Warner Bros. studios lot.
Rupert Grint, 36, and his partner Georgia Groome, 33, have welcomed their second child, a baby girl named Goldie. Grint announced the news on Instagram, sharing a photo of the newborn and thanking the doctor who helped deliver her. The couple also have a daughter named Wednesday, born in 2020.
Emma Mackey will play the White Witch in Greta Gerwig’s Netflix adaptation of “Narnia”. Meryl Streep is in talks to play the role of Aslan. Greta wrote the script and will direct the adaptation of the sixth novel, “The Magician’s Nephew”. The film opens in IMAX on Thanksgiving Day 2026 and hits Netflix around Christmas.
Paris Hilton made an appearance Friday night at Diplo’s “Honky Tonk” at Stagecoach and she didn’t come alone. Paris the DJ got the party going with a lively set as the crowd cheered her on. She even treated fans to a major surprise, bringing Lizzo out for an impromptu performance of her smash hit “Truth Hurts.” Spotted at the party was “RHOBH” star Kyle Richards, and Sydney Sweeney.
