Paramount is looking to revive its “G.I. Joe” franchise. Paramount has overseen 3 “G.I. Joe” movies to date: 2009’s “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra,” starring Channing Tatum, and its 2013 sequel “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” featuring Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson. The 2021 origin story “Snake Eyes” was a disappointment.

“Power Ballad”, the new movie Nick Jonas stars in with Paul Rudd, premiered Sunday on the closing night of the Dublin International Film Festival. He plays a fading boy band star in the film, which is mostly set in Ireland. Paul plays a “past-his-prime wedding singer.” “Power Ballad” hits theaters June 5.
The Grateful Dead’s new movie “Summer Tour” will hit theaters this summer, focusing on the Deadhead community as they follow Dead & Company on the band’s final tour in 2023. As a shout out to Deadheads, the film’s distributor, Utopia, will roll it out with a multi-city tour across the US, that will include screenings and performances by Dead-inspired bands.

Then, Rylee Arnold announced she would be joining the tour amid her colleagues’ absence. The dancers didn’t announce what the upcoming project is, but it’s been reported it’s likely the new spin-off “Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro”.

Taylor Swift will release a limited-edition 7-inch vinyl of “Elizabeth Taylor” for Record Store Day, featuring the original and an acoustic version of the track. The vinyl will be pressed on “Cry My Eyes Violet Glitter” vinyl, a nod to the lyrics of the song, and will come with collectible cover artwork celebrated for its vintage glamour. The Record Store Day event, which celebrates local vinyl shops, is scheduled for April 18.
