Annie Leibovitz photographed the pair for the piece. Meryl’s character Miranda Priestly, the icy editor-in-chief of fictional magazine Runway, was famously inspired by Vogue bigwig Anna.

The first country music festival ever to be held on the beach in Cabo will feature nightly shows, sunset acoustic performances and artist-led wellness experiences like Diplo’s beach yoga, and daytime pool parties with country DJ sets by Diplo.
Ella Langley’s ‘Choosin’ Texas’ has bounced back to the top. It moved from #2 back to #1 for a 5th week in total at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. The boost may have come from the April 1 premiere of the song’s video, which features, among others, Kaitlin Butts, “Yellowstone” actor, Luke Grimes, and co-writer Miranda Lambert. The song is also at #1 on the Hot Country Songs chart for a 19th week.
“Saturday Night Live” will conclude its 51st season with three episodes in May featuring a star-studded lineup: Olivia Rodrigo on May 2, Matt Damon on May 9, and Will Ferrell on May 16. Matt will appear alongside musical guest Noah Kahan. Will will host the season finale, returning for the sixth time, with Paul McCartney joining as musical guest for the fifth time, first performing in 1980.
Choir! Choir! Choir! are heading back to Toronto’s Massey Hall on May 6 for a special event titled “Angel: An Epic Singalong”, aided by the legendary Sarah McLachlan. Featuring “a selection of surprise songs before culminating in a once-in-a-lifetime performance of ‘Angel,'” the performance’s proceeds will benefit the singer-songwriter’s School of Music, which provides free, after-school music programs for underprivileged youth.
“Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan is going to produce a 4-D film about the Battle of the Alamo. It’s for the new Alamo Visitor Center and Museum in San Antonio that opens next year. He says, quote, “To chronicle the sacrifice made by the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives defending the Alamo is an honor I eagerly accept.”
Greece will ban social media use for anyone under 15 beginning January 1, 2027. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis confirmed the plan Wednesday, saying it aims to address the “addictive design” of social media platforms. Australia has already required social media companies to remove under-16 accounts. The UK is considering similar action.
Cameron Diaz is set to headline a sequel to the 1989 comedy “Troop Beverly Hills”. Clea DuVall will direct and write the film. The original “Troop Beverly Hills”, starring Shelley Long, followed a Beverly Hills mother leading a Wilderness Girls troop. Cameron will next be seen in Jonah Hill’s Apple dark comedy “Outcome”, out Friday.
Gen Z audiences are now the most frequent moviegoers, according to a new study. The survey of 7,000 adults found that 87% of Gen Z and 82% of millennials saw at least one film in theaters in the past year, compared with 70% of Gen Xers and 58% of baby boomers. Both younger groups averaged about seven visits annually, outpacing older generations.
Netflix has approved “Extraction 3”, reuniting Chris Hemsworth and Idris Elba in the action franchise. Netflix has not revealed the plot. The first film, released in 2020, followed Chris as mercenary Tyler Rake on a dangerous rescue mission. The sequel continued his story as he freed a gangster’s family from prison.
