Sia has announced her first solo album since 2016, called “Reasonable Woman”. The 15-track record is slated to come out on May 3, and includes “Dance Alone,” a collaboration with Kylie Minogue that dropped yesterday.
Jelly Roll is headed to “American Idol”. The Grammy nominee will be joining the singing competition’s upcoming 22nd season as a guest mentor and performer to hopeful contestants. He’ll be joining Tori Kelly, who will also be mentoring and performing — returning to the show where she got her start. “American Idol” season 22 premieres February 18.
James Cameron already has ideas for “Avatar” 6 and 7. The acclaimed sci-fi filmmaker told People: “We’re fully through writing movie 5, and I’ve got ideas for 6 and 7”, although he pointed out that by that time, he’ll probably be “handing the baton on”. If he has his way, the “Avatar” series could one day be on par with mega-franchises like “Star Trek” and “Star Wars”, which both inspired him.
Tom Holland is hanging up the spandex and taking on Shakespeare’s most famous doomed lover. The “Spider-Man” star will play ‘Romeo’ this summer in London’s West End. The revival has also attracted major stars like James McAvoy, Emilia Clarke, Tom Hiddleston and Jessica Chastain. Tom’s limited run will last for 12 weeks, beginning in May.
Turns out, demand for Creed’s reunion couldn’t have been any, uh, ‘higher’. The group has added 20 more shows to its “Summer of ’99” tour, in response to fan interest. The run of shows between November 2 and December 5 includes stops in Montreal November 25 and Toronto 2 days later.
The “Madden NFL” video game made its annual Super Bowl prediction based on a simulation. And they say the Chiefs will beat the 49ers 30 to 28 . . . and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be named MVP. It’s worth mentioning, “Madden” has been WRONG the last three years. So they’ll either make it a fourth, or break their streak.
Disney announced that a “Moana” sequel will hit theaters November 27th. No word yet if Auli’i Cravalho and the Rock will return as Moana and Maui.
Streams of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” went up 241% the day after her performance with Luke Combs at the Grammys. Her digital song sales also went up 38,400%, hitting 14,000 downloads.
The trailer for “A Quiet Place: Day One” dropped. The prequel stars Lupita Nyong’o from “Black Panther” and Joseph Quinn from “Stranger Things”. It hits theaters sometime in June.
Paul Rudd will narrate a documentary called “Secrets of the Octopus”. It premieres April 21st on the National Geographic channel, then it’ll go to Disney+ and Hulu the next day.
After becoming the most successful concert film in box office history last year, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” will begin streaming on Disney+ as of March 15. It’s even being promoted as a ‘Taylor’s Version’ release that will include the song “Cardigan” (which was left out of the theatrical release) and four acoustic tracks from the ‘Surprise Songs’ portion of the tour.
Jennifer Hudson will headline the halftime show for the NBA All-Star Game on February 18 in Indianapolis. Babyface will sing the American national anthem, while Charlotte Cardin will take the Canadian national anthem. Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Keith Urban, Walker Hayes and Zedd will also be part of the entertainment lineup as part of the Crossover Concert Series.
Things are “getting serious” between Odell Beckham Jr. and Kim Kardashian. A source says the pair are “trying to figure out the next steps,” as Odell is “much more private” than Kim. He is “low-key,” while she is “more accustomed to the limelight.” The rumored new couple were first linked in September of last year.
