Ariana Grande’s new album, “Eternal Sunshine”, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, marking her sixth album to achieve this feat. The record earned 227,000 equivalent album units in its opening week, making it the biggest week for any album in 2024 so far.

NRG Stadium in Houston packed in a whopping 75,600 concertgoers to see their show. The new animated film, set for release on April 3, 2026, will come almost exactly 3 years after the release of the original movie. Conan O’Brien’s new streaming series will debut April 18 on Max. The international travel series “Conan O’Brien Must Go” will feature the former late-night host visiting new friends he’s met via his podcast “Conan O’Brien Needs a Fan”. There will be 4 episodes in season 1.
Jon Bon Jovi and the Eagles are 2 of the artists confirmed to play at the upcoming Jimmy Buffet tribute concert at the Hollywood Bowl on April 11. “Keep The Party Going: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett” will also feature performances by Paul McCartney, Brando Carlile, Eric Church, Kenny Chesney, and many more.
Morgan Wallen’s “One Thing at a Time” has set a new record as the longest-running country album at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart, spending 19 non-consecutive weeks at the top. The record also tops the Country Albums chart for a 43rd non-consecutive week. That ties Randy Travis’ “Always & Forever” for the 4th longest at #1. His “Dangerous: The Double Album” is the longest, with 97 weeks at #1.
Elton John’s annual Academy Awards viewing party, benefitting the Elton John AIDS Foundation, raised $10.8 million, a new record. Even though he couldn’t walk the red carpet, thanks to a recent knee replacement, he still managed to pound out a few tunes on piano, in front of guests.
Cara Delevingne announced that her cats are “alive” after a devastating fire destroyed her home early Friday morning. The star posted a pic of the 2 felines on her Instagram Stories, writing: “They are alive!! “Thank you to the firefighters ❤️.” Her $7 million 2-story Los Angeles mansion was engulfed in flames Friday morning.
Usher received the coveted President’s Award at the 2024 NAACP Image Awards on Saturday, plus the top prize of the evening, Entertainer of the Year. Ernest co-wrote the song with Luke Bryan, who makes four different cartoon cameos as a prison guard, a teacher, a valet, and a judge. The song is about taking different routes and ending up in the same place.
