Paramount+ has renewed “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” for a fourth season. The series is currently in production on its third season, which is set to debut in 2025. Additionally, the previously announced fifth season of “Star Trek: Lower Decks,” which also is currently in production, will mark the series’ final season and premiere this fall on Paramount+.
The late legendary comedian Chris Farley is getting a biopic. Emmy winner Paul Walter Hauser will star as Chris. Josh Gad is set to direct, making his directorial debut. SNL’s Lorne Michaels will produce the project, an adaptation of the New York Times bestselling biography “The Chris Farley Show: A Biography in Three Acts”.
The 30th anniversary of the original animated film version of “The Lion King” will be celebrated at the Hollywood Bowl next month with a live-to-film concert and screening that will include cast members from both the movie and theatrical versions. The shows will take place at the Bowl May 24-25, featuring a full orchestra performing the Oscar-winning score.
CBS is looking to reopen “Cold Case”. A reboot of the crime procedural, which aired for from 2003-10, is currently in development. The new iteration would follow an entirely different group of detectives dedicated to investigating unsolved crimes.

Billie Eilish’s 3rd album “Hit Me Hard and Soft” is still nearly a month away from release, and she’s not dropping any singles ahead of time, but she teased a 15-second snippet of one song during an interview. Reportedly titled ‘Chihiro’, it is a reference to the main character in the film “Spirited Away”.
Slash and Chris Stapleton have released a fiery rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s 1969 single ‘Oh Well’. It’s the second single off Slash’s upcoming blues covers album “Orgy of the Damned”.
Keith Urban has collaborated on a song with…Snoop Dogg. The unlikely pair teamed up to record ‘Let it Roll’ for “The Garfield Movie”, which hits theaters May 24. Keith wrote on Facebook: “Out of the blue, I got a call from Garfield asking if I’d sing and play a song for his movie.”

The Beatles film “Let It Be”, that documented their final performance before spending 5 decades in the vault, is getting a new life on Disney+, after a restoration by Peter Jackson. It’ll debut on May 8. The release follows Peter’s Emmy-winning 2021 docuseries “The Beatles: Get Back.” which used footage originally shot for “Let It Be”.
Fresh off his announcement of a 13-city Canadian tour with Platinum Blonde this summer, Billy Idol has put the word out that he has a new album coming. He wrote on X: “Did a photo shoot yesterday some of which will be used for the new Idol album coming in October…”
Pamela Anderson has joined the cast of the “Naked Gun” remake. Liam Neeson is taking over the role of Lieutenant Frank Drebin, who was played by Leslie Nielsen in the three original movies. Pam will be playing the love interest . . . who was played by Priscilla Presley back in the day. The new “Naked Gun” is scheduled to hit theaters in July 2025.
At the WNBA draft on Monday night, right after Caitlin Clark was drafted #1, they showed her a nice video that Luke Combs made for her. She might be the biggest name in all of sports right now, but even she was a little star-struck by the gesture.

Garth Brooks is set to return to Las Vegas and resume his “Garth Brooks/Plus ONE” residency in The Colosseum at Caesars Palace! It kicks off tomorrow night, April 18. Garth’s shows were such a hit there last year, they decided to schedule more. He has about 40 concerts on tap between now and December 22.
