George Clooney will receive the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the 83rd Venice film festival in September. In a statement, he said, “This festival is without question my favorite and to be given the Golden Lion is a tremendous honor. It also probably means I’m old, but I’ll take it.” The actor, who has a home in Italy, has taken several films to the Venice film festival over the years, most recently last year’s “Jay Kelly”.

 

Prime Video has set November 4 for the premiere of its Muhammad Ali limited series “The Greatest”. The date and first look teaser were revealed during a presentation at Essence Festival of Culture. “The Greatest”, starring Jaalen Best as Ali, is billed as “an intimate exploration of the incomparable life of the boxing champion, humanitarian and global icon.”
