A teaser-trailer is out for Alex Gibney’s highly anticipated documentary “Musk”, and it’s not a flattering portrait of the SpaceX, Tesla, Starlink honcho and X owner. It begins with voices of some people heaping praise on Elon Musk, with one roaring he’s “the greatest capitalist in history!” But those are quickly followed by harsher appraisals. The doc is in theatres on October 16, with HBO debuting the film on premium cable and streaming after that.

 

Sabrina Carpenter is officially halfway to EGOT status, after the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards. Sabrina, who already has 2 Grammys, won an Emmy for hosting the variety special “The Muppet Show”, which was awarded Outstanding Variety Special. Bad Bunny is also halfway to EGOT, after winning an Emmy for “The Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Starring Bad Bunny”.

 

BTS, Dua Lipa and Tame Impala seem to be the frontrunners to headline Coachella 2027. AEG/Goldenvoice are expected to announce Tame Impala and Dua Lipa soon. And they’ve had their sights set on a BTS headlining performance at Coachella for years now. Tame Impala headlined the festival in 2019, and performed there in 2011, 2013 and 2015.

 

A collection of 63 Oasis concert recordings worth over $2 million will be auctioned off next month, and Noel and Liam Gallagher are “unhappy” about it. The over 100 hours of rehearsal tapes, soundcheck recordings, and “unfiltered” conversation between band members will be sold by Littleton Auctions, which says the brothers have “expressed concerns” about the sale.

Joining the anniversary celebration, Ryan Gosling’s “Star Wars: Starfighter”, directed by Shawn Levy, hits theaters May 28, 2027, exactly 50 years after the franchise debuted.
